Transactions ID
Track several conversions from one visitor, such as a lead and then an upsell sale, by linking them with a transaction ID.
Transaction IDs let Prosper202 ClickServer count more than one conversion from the same visitor as they move through a funnel, for example an e-mail opt-in followed by an upsell sale. Set this up when an offer pays at several steps.
What it covers
ClickServer does not follow a visitor from page to page, and it doesn't log each funnel step they view. That calls for different software. What it does is record a conversion at each paying step and tie those conversions together through one shared transaction ID.
Networks that run funnel offers should give you a way to pass a transaction ID. On your own offers, you'll have to pass one yourself.
Setup
- Campaigns (Step 3): add the first offer the usual manual way, with the network's SubID parameter and token. Name it after its step, for example "Example Offer (lead)".
- Copies for later steps: once added, the campaign gets a copy option in the list. Copy it and rename the copy, for example "Example Offer (sale)". Both share the same affiliate URL. Make one copy per step and set each step's payout.
- Landing page: set up an Advanced LP in Step 4 and place each offer's links along the funnel in Step 7, as usual.
- Conversions (Step 9): generate a pixel or postback for each offer. Include the network's transaction ID token and the same SubID parameter you used in Step 3. Place each one right after its step: the first after the opt-in, the last on the final thank-you page.
You can leave Amount empty, or fill it in to override the payout for that step.
