Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Quick answers to common Prosper202 questions about hosting, free version limits, click counts, keywords and conversions.

These are short answers to the Prosper202 ClickServer questions that come up most. Most point to the guide with more detail.

What is Prosper202?

Self-hosted tracking software for profit and loss, conversions, split tests and more, across almost any traffic source and offer. It doesn't act as affiliate network software or as a media server. Affiliates, business owners, agencies and product owners use it to track their own campaigns.

Is Tracking202 the same thing?

Close to it. Tracking202 was the hosted version of the same software, and Prosper202 is the one you host yourself.

Can I use shared hosting?

It can work, and Installing Prosper202 has a no-terminal route for shared and cPanel hosting. Many shared hosts fall short of the requirements, though, so a VPS or better is the safer choice. See Web Hosting Services for options.

Can I install it on a subdomain?

Some users have, but a domain of its own is the recommended setup.

Does the free version have limits?

There are no click limits. Free accounts created since 1 October 2026 need their e-mail on the CPM* newsletter to open the dashboard, and tracking runs either way. Help is what you pay for, through a support plan. The REST API answers on every install, while the p202 CLI needs Prosper202 Pro, and a 7-day trial counts. Download Prosper202 ClickServer.

Is Memcache required?

No, though it's strongly recommended.

Why don't my click counts match my network or traffic source?

First check which clicks you're viewing: all, filtered or real. Sources filter differently, their test clicks still land in Prosper202, and visits that reach your landing page without your ad link get logged too.

What's a filtered click?

Prosper202 records every click and flags the ones it thinks are fake. Real clicks show in green; filtered clicks show in red and don't count toward cost, such as bots crawling your ads or a repeat IP reloading the page.

Why aren't my keywords showing?

Your traffic source needs its keyword token at the end of the t202kw= parameter: {keyword} for Google Ads and {QueryString} for Microsoft Advertising. See PPC Tokens.

Why am I not seeing conversions?

Check your conversion tracking setup in Step 9 and your SubID setup in SubIDs. The right method depends on how your campaign is built.

My campaign data isn't showing. Where is it?

Look under Overview > Group Overview and check its extra filter options. See Group Overview.

I can't log in. What now?

Your Prosper202 login is separate from your Tracking202 login and is created during install. Use the password reset link. The team can't reach your server, so a reinstall is the last resort.

How do I rotate offers or split test landing pages?

Use a redirector or split test from Step 6; the Video Tutorials show both.

How do I report a bug?

Send it to the team through the chat inside Prosper202.
