What a Prosper202 SubID is, how it ties a conversion back to its click, and how to pass it to your network.
A SubID is how Prosper202 ClickServer matches a conversion to the click behind it. Read this when you build an affiliate link in Step 3, or when conversions don't line up with your clicks.
What a SubID is
Treat it as a click ID. Prosper202 creates one for every click on its own, counting up from 1, so no two clicks ever share an ID.
How it works
- A visitor clicks, and Prosper202 attaches that click's SubID as it passes the visitor to the offer.
- If the offer converts, the network knows which SubID it belongs to and reports it back.
- Prosper202 traces the ID to the original click and everything recorded about it.
Add it even if you track with a pixel
Prosper202 generates SubIDs for every click whatever conversion method you use. To keep your affiliate link working cleanly, add your network's SubID parameter with the [[subid]] token as its value:
&<your network's SubID parameter>=[[subid]]
Step 3 shows where this goes in the campaign setup.
Finding your network's parameter
Ask your affiliate manager or network. There are too many networks and platforms for any list to be complete, though Common Network SubID Parameters covers some of the common ones.
